PHP/MySQL Web Developer Job offer in London (@London Bridge)

We are seeking a CSS / HTML / PHP / MySQL developer. Reporting directly to Duncan Morris (a director of Distilled), you will earn wide-ranging responsibilities for delivering client projects and internal tools.

We build small business websites on our own (PHP / MySQL) content management system as well as developing tools to help us do our jobs better. You will be responsible for creating websites based on designs created by our in-house graphic designer.

Distilled is a small team of (currently) 6 people and we are looking for someone who is keen to join a fast-growing company. The right person will:

  • have good written and spoken English
  • be passionate about the internet
  • be self disciplined
  • be able to fit in with a team
  • be an independent learner
  • be able to demonstrate a real interest in and aptitude for the role

Any of the following would be advantageous but are not necessary:

  • Experience of the CakePHP framework
  • Systems administration experience - on a LAMP platform
  • Knowledge of search engine optimisation techniques

The job is a full time position and will be based at our offices near London Bridge. Your role will include:

  • Constructing websites based on design layouts
  • Extending internal platforms (CMS, e-commerce etc.)
  • Maintaining and developing internal tools
  • Building more complex functionality for client websites

We will provide a dual-monitor computer and a comfortable chair. You can listen to music while you work if you wish.

Salary: £17,000-21,000 p.a. depending on experience
